Description
This ferry links the towns of Matane, Baie-Comeau and Godbout. The vessel F.-A.-Gauthier operates this route.
To purchase a ticket, visit our website or call us by telephone. When you make your reservation, you'll need to specify any special needs you may have, so that the crew can accommodate you in the best possible way, notably by facilitating access to the passenger decks.
In the case of assistance animals, a member of the crew may ask you to accredit the animal.
The F.-A.-Gauthier is equipped with an accessible toilet on Deck 6 and a partially accessible toilet on Deck 7. Most areas of the ship are accessible. However, the ship's rating is partially accessible, due to the 3 to 6 cm thresholds at the entrances to the ship from the parking lots. This fact sheet describes the access ramp to the Godbout River Station.
The first section of the ramp is fixed, its inclination unchanging. It has a gentle slope. Its landings are every 10m.
The second section of the ramp can have a variable incline, depending on the tides. A crew member is on hand to help passengers board if necessary.
