Dînétoiles brings together Kéroul’s friends and partners
Back to the press releases listNow in its 24 th year, Kéroul’s annual benefit gala took place last night at the Rio Tinto Alcan Montréal Planetarium. Presided over by honorary co-chairs Joanne Lalumière, Kéroul board member and strategic adviser to and former general director of the Zoo de Granby, and Johanne Desrochers, President and CEO of the Association des ingénieurs conseils du Québec (AICQ), the Dînétoiles cocktail gala brought together many of Kéroul’s friends and partners.
Ms. Lalumière pointed out that “Kéroul’s mission is increasingly relevant, and it is vital that we help it attain its objectives.” To which Ms. Desrochers added: “Having made tangible progress over the years, Kéroul has shown its capacity to be a rallying force as well as an innovator. It’s a great pleasure to work with winners.”
The evening unfolded in a flurry of activity, with a cocktail buffet followed by a 20-minute show entitled “Continuum,” as well as entertainment, music, a silent auction and a prize draw. Several sponsors contributed to the evening’s success, namely Aéroports de Montréal, Krafix, Stationnement de Montréal, FinTaxi, the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth catering service, the LaSalle College International School of Hotel Management and Tourism, Vortex Solution, Expert’ease Productions and Zphoto.ca.
The event’s organizing committee proudly handed over the gala’s net takings of $29,440, which—together with the special $20,780 donation from Aéroports de Montréal and $6,500 donation from Chantal Dauphinais-Pelletier, a Sutton Québec real estate agent who donated $100 for every house sold in 2013—brought Kéroul a total of $56,720.
